GORILLA MODE

WHAT AMAZON MEANS FOR THE REST OF US

There’s no rest. We can’t rest on our laurels. Over the last twenty years, there has never been a time when we looked into the future and thought it was clear sailing. We look into the future, and we see always an intensely competitive environment, a world awash with high rates of change and new technologies, all kinds of disruptive influences. It never looks like smooth seas to us from the inside, no matter what it might appear from the outside.

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?

Our intent is to provide small- to mid-sized business operators with an overview of the 800-pound gorilla that is Amazon. Our ambition is to support operators' knowledge of and strategic approach to an Amazon-dominant marketplace. This is not investment advice, nor is it a how-to manual of any kind.

We own equity positions in private companies that sell products through Amazon and companies who have digital assets based on Amazon Web Services, and most people on our team have individual Prime subscriptions. However, we don’t have an “inside track,” and all information is based on referenced sources.

As investors we have a unique vantage point. It’s rare that Amazon doesn’t come up in discussions. And rightfully so, as we’ll lay out.

Happy reading. We enjoy engaging in discussions about this content, too. Ping us on Twitter or send us an email:
